BEN BALL
Ben Ball is a singer-songwriter based in Berlin who transforms his inner abysses and fantasies into an eclectic musical style, combining elements of Rock, Indie, Disco and Classical music. Starting out playing guitar in the Big Band of his school, he began writing his own music at a young age, but never considered following his passion by doing music a realistic choice for his life. Thus, while he always kept practicing and writing, he tried out all kinds of identitities, studying psychology and engaging in political activism, at the end of the day without a true feeling of meaningfulness. Moving out to Berlin in 2019, he found freedom to follow his passion and started aspiring a musical career, inspired by his idols Queen, Muse and Beethoven, trying to revive sophistication in songwriting. Collaborating with local producer Pierre Leck, he recorded his debut album Inside Out, dealing with his painful experiences of growing up and becoming himself, culminating in the emotional ballad 'There's A Price To Be Paid'. 2023, his new EP Confessions of Sisyphus will be released. The record describes his journey after his first release, being the result of various musical collaborations (Andres Marino, Matt Bishop, Sam Wheat, Matt Dougherty) and producing by himself. It tells the story of a depressive mind stuck in a relationship being unable to truely connect.
